As the business environment continues to be saturated with rapid innovations in technology and electronic business growth, MIS trained students are prepared to step into key roles that face challenges dealing with new technology and business practices. Thorough curriculum is geared to focus on four components vital to a successful future and career in the IS industry- Managerial skills, business/MIS theory and concepts, IT architecture and infrastructure and programming language skills.

This major will prepare you for:

A strong demand for individuals who understand functional disciplines, computer applications and business practices has been created by a booming digital enterprises world-wide. The MIS program satisfies this demand by equipping students with the capability to communicate the value and strategic role of IT in the marketplace and to develop and execute large-scale information systems. Students are expected to graduate with strong conceptual and hands-on skills. These students will understand the rapid growth of technology and its capabilities and are prepared with the managerial ability necessary to put into action strategic information systems.

This program is designed for advanced practice nurses who hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree and licensed as a Registered Nurses with at least one year of clinical experience.
